# Tesla Is Recruiting Memory Process Engineers for Terafab

Tesla is recruiting memory process integration engineers for Terafab, with a focus on DRAM and new memory technologies. Tech investor Gavin Baker stated that Musk currently prioritizes DRAM in the Terafab project.

The job posting indicates that this full-time role will be responsible for cell process integration for DRAM and new memory technologies, covering the entire process from early concepts to mass production. Core objectives include enhancing memory density, maintaining reliability, and improving manufacturability.

SpaceX and Tesla plan an initial investment of $16.8 billion to build Terafab in Grimes County, Texas, to expand their capacity for critical chips. In a statement on its official website on Thursday, SpaceX said the facility aims to bridge the gap between global chip supply and the more than 1 terawatt of computing demand projected for SpaceX and Tesla in the coming years. Subsequent expansions could significantly increase the total investment and create at least 3,000 jobs.
