Lee replied on X to Bitwise CEO **Hunter Horsley**, who said after eight years in crypto he is seeing substance get ahead of price for the first time ever.  Horsley said crypto is reshaping the financial system and that no one can stop its adoption. “Fundamentals are pulling away because investors got burned on the Oct 10 massive deleveraging,” Lee wrote. “It’s just a matter of time.” ### Why Former Ethereum Foundation Staffers Launched A Dedicated Institutional Arm? Three former Ethereum Foundation staffers launched Ethereum Institutional in July 2026 to serve as the primary bridge between banks and the Ethereum ecosystem, according to the Milk Road Show podcast. Co-founders **David Walsh**, **Matthew Dawson**, and **Marius** secured backing from Ethereum co-founder **Joseph Lubin** and Bitmine Chairman Tom Lee, with more than 100 ecosystem participants joining the funding round.  The Foundation’s decision to refocus on core research prompted the spinout. Dawson said institutions judge blockchains on risk, liquidity, and distribution. Ethereum’s 11-year uptime record and deep stablecoin liquidity are its strongest arguments.  **BlackRock’s** (NYSE:BLK) tokenized fund launches and **JPMorgan’s** (NYSE:JPM) Kinexys settlement network show institutions are already building on the network. ### BTC and ETH Technical Analysis Bitcoin trades around $65,000, forming a cup and handle off the June low with the handle currently compressing.  A daily close above $65,000 triggers the pattern, with a projected 13% move to $72,500 on a confirmed breakout. RSI is climbing above 50 with momentum building. Ethereum holds at $1,912, sitting inside a key Fibonacci range after recovering from June lows.  The descending trendline from May has broken with $1,939 the level that opens the next leg higher.
