# U.S. Dollar Index Falls 0.4% on Non-Farm Employment Day

On Friday (August 7), at the close of New York trading, the ICE U.S. Dollar Index fell 0.41% to close at 99.524. Before the release of the U.S. Non-Farm Employment report at 20:30 Beijing time, the index remained roughly stable around 99.9. Upon the data release, it plummeted instantly, hitting a daily low of 99.403 at 20:49, before stabilizing at lower levels. For the week, it accumulated a decline of 0.38%, overall presenting an M-shaped trend.

The Bloomberg U.S. Dollar Index fell 0.43% to 1200.38, accumulating a weekly drop of 0.54%, with an overall trading range of 1207.51-1199.22.
