The deal is expected to close by the end of August at the latest, depending on final regulatory approvals. That product could eventually launch as "Grok Bot," although no final decision has been made. Existing products, including the popular Cursor coding assistant, are not expected to be renamed right away. Another option being discussed is creating an entirely new brand rather than using Grok. Regardless, once the deal closes, Cursor employees are expected to move into SpaceX's internal systems and reporting structure within days. The two companies are already working closely together after announcing an AI partnership in April. That agreement gave Cursor access to SpaceX's computing infrastructure while allowing the companies to develop AI models together. ## **Cursor Could Help Grok Gain More Traction** The acquisition could be especially important for SpaceX's growing AI business. Indeed, Cursor brings enterprise customers and valuable coding data, which could help Grok gain more traction with businesses. Recently, SpaceX reported $2.6 billion of AI revenue in the second quarter, but it also spent heavily on data centers, with total capital expenditures reaching $18.4 billion. Nevertheless, SpaceX has said that it expects companywide revenue to reach a $100 billion annualized pace by December, including Cursor, although management still expects selling cloud-computing capacity to remain the biggest driver of that target. ## **Is SPCX Stock a Good Buy?** Turning to Wall Street, analysts have a Moderate Buy consensus rating on SPCX stock based on 24 Buys, five Holds, and two Sells assigned in the past three months, as indicated by the graphic below. Furthermore, the average SPCX price target of $229.54 per share implies 72.4% upside potential.
