# Yangtze Optical Fibre climbs 5% in Hong Kong after H1 profit forecast

Yangtze Optical Fibre and Cable (6869.HK) climbed **5.3%** in Hong Kong trading to **HK$130.70**. The company earlier issued a profit forecast for the first half of 2026, expecting net income of approximately **2.4 billion to 3.0 billion yuan**, representing a surge of **711% to 914%** from a year earlier. Core net profit, excluding non-recurring items, is expected at 2.0 billion to 2.6 billion yuan, up more than 13 times year-over-year.
