# SK Hynix Says No Final Decision Yet on Rumored Sale of Chongqing Plant

SK Hynix responded to market rumors about a potential sale of its Chongqing plant, stating that the company is studying various plans to enhance the competitiveness of its packaging business, but no final decision has been made at present. If relevant plans are implemented, further disclosure will be made on the date of confirmation or within one month thereafter.

Earlier reports indicated that SK Hynix was evaluating multiple disposal options for its Chongqing facility, including the introduction of investors, while SK Hynix may retain only a minority stake. The potential equity sale could value the plant at about USD3 billion. (mn/u)
