# The Island of Misfit Toys: My Verdict on Wall Street's Most Random Grab Bag

I have seen my fair share of Wall Street's thematic junk drawers, but this unclassified bucket of stocks is peak 2026 market absurdity. Lumping cutting-edge gene therapy biotechs in the same room with Chinese kitchen sink makers facing delisting? This is stupid and here's why: it perfectly exposes the contrast between companies building actual value and those just taking up server space on the Nasdaq.

Let's start with the adults doing real work. **Prime Medicine (PRME.US)** just secured an FDA IND for its Wilson's disease therapy and thoroughly trounced Beam Therapeutics in a recent arbitration. With its Q2 2026 net loss narrowing to **USD 42.1M**, the stock has been trending up recently on solid buy ratings. That is how you execute.

On the flip side, **Beam Therapeutics (BEAM.US)** is asleep at the wheel. Not only did they lose that arbitration, but their Q2 revenue practically evaporated—down over **90%** to a pathetic **USD 490,000**. Wall Street Zen rightfully slapped a sell rating on it, and shares have taken a beating year-to-date. Why aren't you moving faster, guys? Good luck with that.

Meanwhile, **Dyne Therapeutics (DYN.US)** is sitting pretty with **USD 898.5M** in cash. The FDA just accepted their BLA for a DMD drug with priority review. Even though it's been trading at a slight discount to its intrinsic value lately, the smart money knows this is a real business. And then there's **Novartis (NVS.US)**, the **USD 13.52B** quarterly revenue Swiss titan. Grouping this pharma heavyweight with micro-caps is hilarious, but its steady YTD performance proves that massive R&D budgets still win.

Outside of healthcare, the picture is just as fractured. **Alpha and Omega Semiconductor (AOSL.US)** quietly pulled in **USD 696M** in FY 2025 total revenue. Its new AmpStack tech isn't going to make Jensen Huang lose any sleep, but analysts see enough upside to keep the stock volatile but interesting. Then you have **BTCS (BTCS.US)**, an Ethereum play that scraped together **USD 1M** in Q1 2026 gross profit. It's still surfing the crypto waves, meaning its shares are bouncing around exactly as you'd expect.

The absolute worst of the bunch? **Li Bang International (LBGJ.US)**. A commercial stainless steel kitchen equipment company trying to pull a 1-for-200 reverse stock split in July 2026 just to avoid a Nasdaq delisting. This feels exactly like the reverse merger garbage from a decade ago. Shares have cratered, obviously. If you want a traditional business, look at **Lamar Advertising (LAMR.US)**. It operates billboards, printed **USD 164.6M** in Q2 net income, and hands out a **USD 1.60** quarterly dividend. It is quietly outperforming half of Silicon Valley this year.

In the credit space, the **Xtrackers USD High Yield Corporate Bond ETF (HYLB.US)** is floating along nicely. Investors are still relentlessly chasing yield in this cycle, keeping the fund well-supported. And finally, there are ghosts like **EOSER (EOSER.US)**—absolute radio silence for months. If you have nothing to report, why are you public?

My view is clear: stop betting on reverse-split desperation and biotech laggards. Follow the actual cash flow and the FDA green lights.
