# WAM Capital Details NTA, Dividend Strength and Mixed Portfolio Drivers in July

WAM Capital Ltd. ( (AU:WAM) ) just unveiled an update.

WAM Capital reported a July 2026 pre-tax net tangible asset backing of 119.50 cents per share and an after-tax-refund NTA of 121.17 cents, supported by a current tax asset of $19 million and total net tax assets of 17.08 cents per share. The company highlighted an annualised interim dividend of 15.5 cents per share, yielding 9.8% or 12.3% on a grossed-up basis, but noted that sustaining this payout depends on continued portfolio profits and the generation of additional franking credits.

The manager said its investment portfolio declined in July, with AI infrastructure developer Firmus Technologies contributing positively after a major US$2 billion capital raise at a valuation of about $15.5 billion, while Advanced Innergy Holdings dragged performance as investors questioned the earnings impact and leverage from its $90 million Matrix Composites & Engineering acquisition. WAM Capital remains constructive on both holdings, arguing that Firmus is well placed to benefit from surging global demand for AI computing capacity and that Advanced Innergy should ultimately gain from sector consolidation, a strong order book and synergy realisation despite near-term market concerns.
