The pre-market turnover was HKD 2.17 billion. Gold stocks strengthened, with Zijin Mining (02259) rising over 2%, China Gold International (02099) up over 2%, Lingbao Gold (03330) increasing over 2%, Laopuhuang Gold (06181) gaining nearly 2%, and Shandong Gold (01787) rising over 1%. Pharmaceutical stocks also strengthened, with Zai Lab (09688) up over 8% and WuXi AppTec (02268) rising over 1%, driven by Zai Lab's overnight rise of over 10% in the U.S. stock market.
