# Trending | PLUG Surges 5% on Tuesday, Some Call options Increases 14%

On August 11, Eastern Time, Plug Power options saw a total of 100809 contracts traded, with calls accounting for 84% and puts making up 15%.

Plug Power has 870091 contracts outstanding, with calls accounting for 78% and puts making up 21%.

The top volume gainer was the 2.5 dollars Call option expiring on August 14, 2026, with 28075 contracts traded.

On the news front, PLUG rose ~5% to $2.220 Tuesday on 147M volume. The move aligned with a 14% gain in select calls, driven by short-term buying and derivatives activity.
