Gil Blum has given his Buy rating due to a combination of factors related to AbSci’s lead program and financial position. He views ABS-201 for pattern hair loss as the core driver of shareholder value, with a key 13-week interim data read from randomized multiple-ascending-dose cohorts expected in the second half of 2026, providing a meaningful clinical catalyst.

Blum highlights the innovative prolactin-blocking mechanism, noting that even early, directional signs of hair regrowth could be materially positive, especially since ABS-201 could be used alongside existing treatments like finasteride and oral minoxidil. Coupled with AbSci’s solid cash balance of $201M after its recent $100M raise, which should fund operations into the second half of 2028, he sees sufficient runway to reach value-inflecting milestones and thus reiterates his $11 price target and Buy rating.

According to TipRanks, Blum is a 5-star analyst with an average return of 16.3% and a 46.98% success rate. Blum covers the Healthcare sector, focusing on stocks such as Nurix Therapeutics, Fate Therapeutics, and Cartesian Therapeutics.

In another report released yesterday, TD Cowen also maintained a Buy rating on the stock with a $0.00 price target.
