An announcement from Century Therapeutics ( (IPSC) ) is now available.

Century Therapeutics reported its second-quarter 2026 results on August 12, 2026, highlighting progress across its iPSC-derived cell therapy pipeline for autoimmune diseases and cancer, including type 1 diabetes and B-cell-mediated conditions. The company also updated its investor presentation for upcoming investor meetings.

During the quarter ended June 30, 2026, Century completed a pre-IND meeting with the FDA for CNTY-813, an iPSC-derived islet replacement therapy for type 1 diabetes, achieving alignment on nonclinical data, manufacturing strategy, and Phase 1/2 trial design. Preclinical data presented at ADA 2026 showed durable in vivo glucose control, immune evasion without immunosuppression, and scalable manufacturing, with an IND filing targeted for the fourth quarter of 2026 and initial clinical data expected in the second half of 2027.

Century also advanced CNTY-813 manufacturing by establishing a Phase 1 bioreactor process that demonstrated consistent performance, endocrine purity, and optimal islet cell content at clinical scale. The program’s preclinical data were selected for oral presentations at major diabetes conferences in Milan and Philadelphia in October 2026, underscoring growing scientific interest in the therapy.

The company continued preparations to bring CNTY-308, a CD19-targeted CAR-iT cell therapy engineered with Allo-Evasion 5.0 for B-cell-mediated diseases, into the clinic in 2026. Preclinical results showed functional comparability to primary CAR-T cells, including target-driven proliferation, cytokine secretion, and durable persistence, supporting Century’s view that CNTY-308 could deliver autologous-like benefits in an allogeneic format.

Financially, Century ended June 30, 2026 with $197.2 million in cash, cash equivalents, and investments, up from $117.1 million at year-end 2025, and projected its cash runway into the first quarter of 2029. R&D expenses fell to $19.6 million and G&A expenses to $5.8 million versus the prior-year quarter, reflecting portfolio prioritization and cost reductions, while net loss widened slightly to $34.6 million, highlighting ongoing investment in its pipeline despite improved operating efficiency.

**Spark’s Take on IPSC Stock**

According to Spark, TipRanks’ AI Analyst, IPSC is a Neutral.

The score is held back primarily by weak financial performance (ongoing losses and cash burn) and limited support from valuation (negative P/E). These are partially offset by a relatively solid balance sheet, neutral technical signals, and positive pipeline/financing-related corporate updates—though with meaningful dilution risk.
