According to a report from Economic Information Daily on the 14th, YUNNAN ENERGY (01298) announced that it expects a mid-term net profit of HKD 7 million to HKD 9 million for the period ending June 30, compared to a loss of HKD 2.7 million in the same period last year.

The group stated that the turnaround from loss to profit is due to increased revenue and gross profit from its supply chain business, primarily driven by rising demand for photovoltaic components and silicon materials, as well as increased dividend income from equity investments.

The group expects to announce its results at the end of August. (wh)
