# LG Electronics signs memorandum of cooperation with NVIDIA in the fields of robotics, AI factories, and mobile mobility

LG Electronics announced on Friday that it will launch a next-generation bipedal humanoid robot based on NVIDIA's robot platform in the first quarter of 2027.

The South Korean tech giant stated that a memorandum of understanding was signed at NVIDIA's headquarters in Santa Clara, California, with LG Group Chairman Koo Kwang-mo and NVIDIA CEO Jensen Huang attending the signing ceremony.

The robot will be equipped with NVIDIA's Jetson Thor robot chip module and developed based on NVIDIA's Isaac GR00T humanoid robot foundational model and the robot safety system Holoscan for Robotics.

LG plans to integrate the technologies and capabilities of its major subsidiaries into this robot, including actuators from LG Electronics, sensors from LG Innotek, and batteries from LG Energy Solution Ltd.

The two companies will also engage in comprehensive cooperation in the fields of robotics, artificial intelligence (AI) factories, and mobile mobility
