The ceasefire between the U.S. and Iran is set to expire today, adding to uncertainty over the next steps in the conflict. At the time of writing, Brent crude (CM:BZ) was up 0.15% to $88.65 per barrel, while WTI crude (CM:CL) was down 0.12% to $82.30 per barrel. Last week, the S&P 500 and the Nasdaq Composite gained 0.4% and 0.1%, respectively, while the Dow fell 0.6%. The S&P 500 had a record-setting week, crossing 7,800 for the first time on Thursday and hitting an intraday record of 7,816.70. However, the index fell 0.17% on Friday. This week, investors will focus on earnings from major retailers, including Home Depot (HD), Target (TGT), Lowe's (LOW), TJX Companies (TJX), and Walmart (WMT). In Monday's pre-market trading, shares of memory and storage companies SanDisk (SNDK), Micron Technology (MU), Western Digital (WDC), and Seagate (STX) were up 4.3%, 3.2%, 3.6%, and 2.5%, respectively, after U.S. Commerce Secretary Howard Lutnick told the _Wall Street Journal_ that the Trump administration is against iPhone maker Apple's (AAPL) purchase of Chinese memory chips. SoFi Technologies (SOFI) stock rose 2% after Piper Sandler initiated coverage of the fintech company with a Buy rating, citing its growing total addressable market (TAM). Also, shares of Chinese tech giant Alibaba (BABA) were up more than 2% after _Reuters_ reported that the company is set to offload its game developer business, Lingxi Games, in a deal worth more than $2 billion to private equity firm Trustar Capital.
