# What To Expect From Viking’s (VIK) Q2 Earnings

Luxury cruise operator Viking will be reporting results this Wednesday before market hours. Here’s what investors should know.

Viking beat analysts’ revenue expectations last quarter, reporting revenues of $1.05 billion, up 17.5% year on year. It was a satisfactory quarter for the company, with a decent beat of analysts’ EBITDA estimates but EPS in line with analysts’ estimates.

This quarter, the market is expecting Viking’s revenue to grow 14.1% year on year, slowing from the 18.5% increase it recorded in the same quarter last year.

Analysts covering the company have generally reconfirmed their estimates over the last 30 days, suggesting they anticipate the business will stay the course heading into earnings. Viking rarely misses Wall Street’s revenue estimates.

Looking at Viking’s peers in the consumer discretionary - travel and vacation providers segment, some have already reported their Q2 results, giving us a hint as to what we can expect. Target Hospitality delivered year-on-year revenue growth of 38.7%, beating analysts’ expectations by 7.8%, and Delta reported revenues up 18.7%, topping estimates by 3.9%.
