# Archer Aviation Insiders File to Sell $1.4M in ACHR Stock. Is It Really a Red Flag?

Archer Aviation Inc. (ACHR), the electric aircraft developer working to bring air-taxi services to market, disclosed a batch of insider stock-sale filings this week. Five company officers filed notices covering a combined 219,961 Class A shares worth about $1.41 million. On its own, that kind of coordinated insider selling can catch investors' attention. The details, though, make the filings look much more routine.

The sales are closely tied to employee stock compensation. In each filing, the shares were acquired on August 14 through restricted stock vesting, with the proposed sales dated August 17. Harsh Rungta filed to sell 13,880 shares, Benjamin Lyon 50,188, Priya Gupta 10,015, Thomas Muniz 93,116, and Eric Lentell 52,762.  
All five filings also say that the sale includes shares needed to cover a tax obligation resulting from the settlement of a vested equity award.

On Monday, ACHR shares dropped 3.47%, closing at $6.39.
