The PBOC did not conduct seven-day reverse repo operations today (19th), while carrying out RMB327.4 billion overnight reverse repo operations. With RMB469.7 billion reverse repos maturing, a net withdrawal of RMB142.3 billion was recorded on a single day. The three major A-share indices opened nearly 1% to 2.7% lower this morning. The Shanghai Composite Index opened down 38 points or 0.96% at 3,952. The Shenzhen Component Index opened down 305 points or 2.09% at 14,316. The ChiNext Index opened down 100 points or 2.7% at 3,605. Banking stocks ICBC (601398.SH) +0.100 (+1.304%) and CCB (601939.SH) +0.080 (+0.767%) both opened 0.5% higher, while CMB (600036.SH) +0.310 (+0.810%) opened 0.7% higher. Among insurers, CHINA LIFE (601628.SH) -0.180 (-0.487%) opened down 0.2%, while CHINA PACIFIC INSURANCE (601601.SH) -0.030 (-0.100%) opened 0.2% higher. In addition, BYD Company (002594.SZ) -0.690 (-0.771%) opened flat. CONTEMPORARY AMPEREX (300750.SZ) -3.650 (-0.921%) opened down 0.6%. Overseas chip stocks were weak, weighing on semiconductor names. SMIC (688981.SH) -5.090 (-3.771%) opened down 3%. HUA HONG GRACE (688347.SH) -17.520 (-6.623%) opened down 3.7%. AI chip stock CAMBRICON (688256.SH) -55.910 (-4.809%) opened down 2.8%. Among the three major optical module players known as "Yi Zhong Tian", ZHONGJI INNOLIGHT (300308.SZ) -41.010 (-4.150%) opened down 4.5%; TFC (300394.SZ) -3.020 (-1.036%) opened down 6.7%, with the company's net profit increasing 33.92% YoY in 1H26; and EOPTOLINK (300502.SZ) -15.030 (-3.324%) opened down 4.5%.
