Now that all the pure-play quantum computing stocks see their Q2 earnings in the rearview mirror, investors have a clearer look at which companies are turning technical progress into actual business. IonQ, Inc. (IONQ), Quantum Computing Inc. (QUBT), Rigetti Computing, Inc. (RGTI), and D-Wave Quantum Inc. Rigetti showed solid operating improvement, while QUBT posted a huge percentage jump in revenue from a very small base. D-Wave's quarter was the weakest financially, although its growing backlog and expected system deliveries leave room for a stronger second half. ## **IonQ: The Strongest Revenue Story** IonQ delivered the strongest top-line quarter of the group. Revenue reached $80.05 million, well above the $66.47 million analysts expected and up 287% from a year earlier. Organic revenue, which strips out some of the contribution from acquisitions, climbed 132%. The company also raised its standalone 2026 revenue outlook to between $280 million and $290 million. Remaining performance obligations reached $485 million, up from $122 million a year ago, giving IonQ considerably more forward revenue visibility than its pure-play peers. However, the biggest negative was the bottom line. IonQ reported a GAAP loss of $5.08 per share versus the $0.56 loss analysts expected. Adjusted EBITDA came in at negative $120.3 million, while the company continues to spend heavily on R&D, acquisitions, and manufacturing integration.
