COSMOS, Intel, and Airspan to Test and Evaluate OCUDU in End-to-End, 5G/NextG Deployment Scenarios
In Plano, Texas, the Cloud Enhanced Open Software Defined Mobile Wireless Testbed for City-Scale Deployment (COSMOS), a National Science Foundation PAWR platform led by Rutgers University/WINLAB, alongside Columbia University and New York University, is partnering with Intel and Airspan Networks. They will work together to integrate, test, and assess the OCUDU (open source CU/DU) software stack in the framework of open-source 5G deployment. This collaboration aims to enhance research capabilities in the field, with a focus on advancing technology for large-scale mobile operations.
