# Micron Technology, Inc.  Plans USD10 billion AI Memory Chip R&D Center

Micron Technology, Inc. (MU.US) plans to invest USD10 billion over the next decade in a research and development center to be established in Idaho, the US, to advance memory chip technology, develop computing systems, and support future chip manufacturing.

Micron said the R&D center will bring together customers, academia, government and the broader semiconductor industry to drive technological breakthroughs. The R&D center will be connected with Micron's research and technology network across the US, Europe, Japan, India, Singapore and Taiwan.

Micron expects construction of the facility to begin in 2027. The center will be able to accommodate hundreds of researchers and facilitate the hosting of international conferences and seminars.(mn/j)(Real-time Streaming US Stocks Quote; Except All OTC quotes are at least 15 minutes delayed.)
