# Trending | CRCL Surges 6% on Thursday, Some Call options Soar 150%

On August 20, Eastern Time, Circle options saw a total of 133646 contracts traded, with calls accounting for 67% and puts making up 32%.

Circle has 830378 contracts outstanding, with calls accounting for 58% and puts making up 41%.

The top volume gainer was the 90 dollars Call option expiring on August 21, 2026, with 9320 contracts traded.

On the news front, CRCL.US rose from $71.73 to $83.66 as volume topped 22M shares daily. Heavy call buying, with contracts up 150%, fueled the surge.
