Goldman Sachs expands into India's government share sale market - report
Goldman Sachs is expanding its presence in India's government share sale market, traditionally dominated by local firms. According to Bloomberg, Goldman Sachs advised on five of the ten major divestment transactions since December, ranking second only to Kotak Mahindra Bank in 2026. Other international banks like Citigroup and BNP Paribas are also active. The Indian government aims to raise 800 billion rupees for the fiscal year ending March 2027.
