# SBP GROUP 's Innovative ActRII A/B Monoclonal Antibody Approved for Clinical Study

SBP GROUP (01177.HK) +0.205 (+3.803%) Short selling $162.61M; Ratio 20.490% announced that TQF6422 injection, an "ActRII A/B monoclonal antibody" independently developed by its subsidiary Chia Tai Tianqing Pharmaceutical Group as a Class 1 innovative drug in China, has been approved by the Center for Drug Evaluation of the National Medical Products Administration of China to commence clinical studies. The drug is intended for weight management in adult obesity patients, or overweight patients with at least one weight-related comorbidity.

Preclinical study results of TQF6422 showed that its in vitro activity was more than 10 times higher than comparable products. In multiple animal efficacy models, it achieved superior fat reduction and lean mass preservation at lower doses. In combination with GLP-1, it demonstrated synergistic effects with dual benefits in fat reduction and muscle gain. It also showed favorable pharmacokinetic and safety profiles.
