(V), and Mastercard Incorporated (MA), according to his latest government financial disclosure. The filing showed more than 550 purchases and more than 450 sales during the month. (META), as well as Motorola Solutions, Inc. (MSI). The trading activity is of note because Trump's accounts have continued buying and selling individual stocks while he is president, raising questions about potential conflicts of interest. The White House says Trump and his family do not direct the trades. According to White House spokesman Davis Ingle, the portfolio is managed by independent third-party financial institutions using computer-based strategies that automatically track established indexes, including the Schwab 1000 (SCHK). That detail helps explain the unusually high number of trades. One strategy used by the accounts is direct indexing, which involves owning individual stocks rather than an index fund and can also generate tax losses by selling some positions and replacing them with similar holdings. The latest disclosure therefore gives investors a look at some very large trades tied to Trump's portfolio, but it does not necessarily show that Trump or his managers made active calls on Berkshire, Visa, Mastercard, Meta, or Motorola.
