HSBC Holdings plc has continued its share buy-back programme, repurchasing and cancelling 10,000 ordinary shares on UK venues and 304,800 shares on the Hong Kong Stock Exchange on 21 August 2026. The purchases form part of the buy-back launched earlier in August and were executed through BNP Paribas Financial Markets SNC at volume-weighted average prices of £15.1952 in London and HK$162.5791 in Hong Kong. Since the commencement of the current buy-back, HSBC has repurchased 18,283,014 shares for total consideration of about US$376.8 million, reducing its outstanding ordinary share capital to 17,169,945,783 shares. The transactions, structured as on-exchange market purchases in the UK and on-market buy-backs in Hong Kong, support capital management efforts and may enhance earnings per share and shareholder value by shrinking the free float. **More about HSBC Holdings** HSBC Holdings plc is one of the world’s largest banking and financial services institutions, headquartered in London and incorporated in England and Wales.
