(SMCI, Financials) is giving back some of a recent monstrous spike as investors re-evaluate the worries surrounding the AI server maker. Shares plummeted around 7% Monday after surging more than 60% in the weeks surrounding the company's fiscal fourth-quarter earnings announcement. There was a lot of juice in that rally. Supermicro's earnings of $1.70 per share were ahead of expectations, although revenue of about $11.12 billion was in line with its own guidance and below Wall Street estimates. Delays were due to the time it takes customers to deploy and get data-centers ready, not a lack of demand, management said. Still, there are additional issues for investors to consider. The company announced over $7 billion in equity and equity-linked financing in June, sparking fears about dilution. It is also conducting an independent assessment of its board over potential export control problems around AI chip shipments. No new bad news Monday but still an overhang. Mizuho has remained cautious, maintaining a Neutral rating and decreasing its price target to $34, close to current levels. Supermicro has its own setup issues, but is also being weighed down by the broader tech selloff. AI buzz is not enough for investors 60% run. They want cleaner execution, fewer variables. ### Related Stocks - [SMCI.US](https://longbridge.com/en/quote/SMCI.US.md) - [SMCY.US](https://longbridge.com/en/quote/SMCY.US.md) - [SMCZ.US](https://longbridge.com/en/quote/SMCZ.US.md) - [SMCL.US](https://longbridge.com/en/quote/SMCL.US.md) - [SMYY.US](https://longbridge.com/en/quote/SMYY.US.md) - [SMCX.US](https://longbridge.com/en/quote/SMCX.US.md) - [SMCC.US](https://longbridge.com/en/quote/SMCC.US.md) - [MFG.US](https://longbridge.com/en/quote/MFG.US.md) - [8411.JP](https://longbridge.com/en/quote/8411.JP.md) ## Related News & Research - [SMCI Stock Alert: What to Know as Super Micro Computer Wraps Investigation](https://longbridge.com/en/news/296529809.md) - [BUZZ-Super Micro gains; says probe found no management role in export-control violation case](https://longbridge.com/en/news/296500280.md) - [Super Micro stock climbs as earnings soar past expectations](https://longbridge.com/en/news/295578854.md) - [Opportunity Beckons Ahead of Super Micro Stock Earnings, Says Top Investor](https://longbridge.com/en/news/295418100.md) - [Supermicro's $60 Billion Backlog Meets its Audited Truth Test](https://longbridge.com/en/news/295560337.md) --- > **Disclaimer: This article is for reference only and does not constitute any investment advice.**
