In London, Icon Solutions and MongoDB released findings from a collaborative study revealing that the Icon Payments Framework (IPF) operating on MongoDB Atlas managed to handle a remarkable 6,000 end-to-end payment transactions per second, equivalent to about 430,000 database operations per second. The system maintained an average end-to-end latency of just 0.51 seconds and demonstrated resilience by recovering from application and database node failures without any data loss. The transition of account-to-account payment volumes to instant payment networks is swiftly increasing.
