JD.com officially released version 16.0 of its app on September 9. According to Jiemian News, the new version adds AI enhancements to the existing shopping experience, integrating AI capabilities across the full chain from identifying user needs and selecting products to purchase decisions and fulfillment services. It also introduced an AI shopping assistant called Dongdong, which can help users find products based on a lifestyle need and tap JD.com service resources including housekeeping, installation and repair, food delivery, pet services and health services.
