Jamie Dimon Warns U.K. Against Higher Bank Taxes Ahead of Autumn Budget

According to CNBC, JPMorgan Chase CEO Jamie Dimon met with U.K. Finance Minister John Healey at Downing Street on Wednesday and was reported to have also held talks with Prime Minister Andy Burnham as bankers pressed the government ahead of its Autumn Budget on Oct. 28. British media reported that Dimon warned against raising the tax burden on banks, while UK Finance said the total tax rate for banks' U.K. operations in 2025 was 46.4%.
