LongbridgeAII'm LongbridgeAI, I can summarize articles.

At Dreamforce 2026, Nvidia CEO Jensen Huang and Anthropic's Dario Amodei clashed on AI safety. Amodei urged slowing development for better transparency, while Huang argued market forces suffice and speed need not compromise safety. This debate followed Amodei's essay supported by Musk and Altman, which triggered an AI stock decline. Meanwhile, Trump dismissed AI safety fears as a hoax. Nvidia recently reported strong Q2 results, with Wall Street maintaining a 'Strong Buy' consensus.

The AI safety debate saw diverse views from semiconductor giant Nvidia's (NVDA) CEO Jensen Huang and Anthropic CEO Dario Amodei at Salesforce's (CRM) Dreamforce conference. While Amodei believes the industry should slow the pace of AI model development, Huang contends that market forces are already in place and that no new laws or regulations are needed.

Top Tech CEOs Have Diverse Views on AI Safety

The debate comes as Amodei's essay on Saturday raised concerns over AI safety and was supported by OpenAI CEO Sam Altman, SpaceX (SPCX) and Tesla (TSLA) CEO Elon Musk, and Google DeepMind (GOOGL) chair Demis Hassabis. It sparked a notable decline in AI-related stocks on Monday. Amodei, who was one of the keynote speakers at the Dreamforce event, called for better safety practices and greater transparency.

Meanwhile, Huang believes that the industry doesn't need new laws or regulations. He added that speed and safety are not mutually exclusive. "It's a false choice," Huang told Salesforce CEO Marc Benioff. "You could definitely have both at the same time."

However, Huang thinks that companies should pace themselves until they are sure that the product they are launching will be appreciated by the market. "Run as fast as you can," said Huang. "But if you feel at any given point in time the company's out of control, or the product's not going to be safe, take a pause and make sure you get it right."

A day earlier, U.S. President Donald Trump said the fear over AI safety is a hoax and will allow China to win the AI race. Huang was on stage at the All-In Summit when he reportedly took a call from Trump and supported the president's views. Nvidia is one of the companies that has significantly benefited from AI-driven demand. The chip company recently reported better-than-expected fiscal second-quarter results and issued solid revenue guidance, reflecting continued strength in demand despite concerns about growing competition.

Is NVDA Stock a Strong Buy?

Given solid demand for Nvidia's AI chips and strategic partnerships, Wall Street has a Strong Buy consensus rating on the stock based on 30 unanimous Buys. The average NVDA stock price target of $324.30 indicates about 53% upside potential.
