Liu Shui, the director of enterprise research at the China Index Academy, stated that the active land auction market since the beginning of the year is related to the pace of land releases in various regions. In January of this year, the land releases in first-tier cities and other areas were relatively active, with the land transfer fees for residential and commercial office land increasing by over 10% year-on-year, and several high total price plots were transacted, many of which were acquired by leading central state-owned enterprises
