The National Development and Reform Commission held a teleconference on the 2024 National Grain Conservation and Anti-Food Waste Work
On December 30th, Jinshi Data reported that a teleconference on the national grain saving and anti-food waste work for 2024 was recently held in Beijing. The meeting required all regions and relevant departments to effectively enhance their political stance and continuously strengthen their political awareness, ideological awareness, and action awareness in promoting grain saving and combating food waste. It emphasized the need to adhere to goal-oriented and problem-oriented approaches, comprehensively advance actions for grain saving and loss reduction, enhance public awareness of grain saving, and implement anti-waste actions in the catering industry and unit canteens. The meeting called for fully leveraging the strengths of the government, enterprises, industry associations, research institutions, and the general public to focus on key links in the supply side and strengthen grain loss reduction across the entire chain; to focus on key areas on the consumption side and rectify wasteful behaviors at the dining table; to cultivate healthy and moderate eating habits, and to promote comprehensive food saving
