China Aviation Engine has successfully ignited its self-developed 600-kilogram thrust high-end turbofan engine, with the first flight scheduled for June next year
On December 27th, the 600-kilogram thrust class high-end turbofan engine independently developed by AECC successfully ignited at Tianfu Light Motion. At the same time, Tianfu Light Motion held the Sichuan Tianfu New Area Low-altitude Economy Industry Cluster Construction Conference, where three series of aviation power products were announced, and cooperation framework agreements were signed with six units. The three series of products announced include the high-end long-life turbofan engine series, advanced hybrid power series, and economically consumable engine series, with representative products being the 600kgf class turbofan engine, 60kW hybrid power system, and 100kgf class turbojet engine. The 600-kilogram thrust class high-end turbofan engine is the first independently developed product by Tianfu Light Motion, and it is planned for its maiden flight in June 2025, with finalization in 2026, which will greatly enhance China's 1.5-4 ton class drone capabilities
