Sunshine Oilsands has agreed with placing agent Cheer Union Securities to extend the closing date of its planned share placement from July 31, 2026 to December 31, 2026, allowing more time to complete the issuance of new shares under a specific mandate. The revised deal lowers the placing price to HK$0.20 per share, increases the maximum number of placing shares to 205,704,000, and would raise up to HK$41.14 million in gross proceeds, with directors stating the terms are commercially reasonable and in the interests of shareholders.

The enlarged placing now represents about 28.92% of the existing issued share capital and 22.43% of the capital post-issuance, implying notable dilution but also a meaningful injection of equity for the company. The placing price was set at a premium to the recent five-day average trading price and at parity with the latest close, signaling an effort to balance investor appeal with valuation discipline as Sunshine Oilsands seeks to bolster its funding base and operational resilience.
