Goldwind (2208.HK) tumbled more than 8% in Hong Kong trading to HK$10.23, dragged lower by weakness in the commercial aerospace sector after a satellite launch failure.

China's Zhongxing 4B satellite launch from the Wenchang Space Launch Site on Aug 10 using a Long March 7A rocket experienced an anomaly, resulting in mission failure, according to Xinhua News Agency. Separately, LandSpace's Zhuque-3 Y2 rocket, originally scheduled for launch on Aug 11, faced a window adjustment that could delay the launch to Aug 31. Goldwind holds a stake in LandSpace, which had been expected to become China's first commercial rocket company to master recovery technology if the Zhuque-3 launch succeeded.

Shares in the power equipment sector also weakened, with wind power stocks including Haili Wind Power and Tianshun Wind Energy declining in tandem.
