Currently, the derivatives market operates until 3 a.m. the following day, and investors in the Americas trading session have shown clear demand for extending trading hours by two more hours. Relevant adjustments will be prioritized.

She explained that extending trading hours by several hours would improve connectivity with the North American market and increase participation from institutional investors there. However, as the spot market involves a broader range of investors, including local, Mainland Chinese and international retail and institutional investors, with varying needs and trading habits, more comprehensive consideration and full communication with all stakeholders are necessary before proceeding. Further announcements will be made at an appropriate time if discussions advance to the next stage.

She also revealed that IPO fundraising in the first eight months has already surpassed the full-year level of last year. There are currently many listing applications in the pipeline, but she believed the importance of specific figures declined. The exchange is more focused on diversified development, saying that the product shelf must be comprehensive to cater the needs of different investors.
