The company said it expects net profit for the six months ending June 30, 2026, to exceed HK$2.7 billion, up roughly 4% year-over-year. Profit from its copper clad laminate division surged more than 200% from a year earlier, though partially offset by reported losses from its investment business.
In a research note, Citi said electronic fabric prices rose 17% to 18% month-over-month in August, bringing year-to-date gains to 118% to 165%. The broker added that the window for CCL price increases has opened, and the market expects Kingboard to raise CCL spot prices (tax-inclusive) by another 10% to 15% in August.
