<p>De Lijn, a Flemish transport company, has signed a framework agreement with Daimler Buses for up to 500 electric buses and ordered over 80 e-buses from them. Additionally, De Lijn ordered 268 e-buses from BYD Europe. This move aligns with their goal of achieving a zero-emission public transport system by 2035, supported by a €400 million investment from the Flemish government. The new buses will feature modern amenities and safety features, enhancing De Lijn's sustainability efforts and passenger services.</p>

- De Lijn has ordered over 80 Mercedes-Benz eCitaro buses and has a contingent of around 420 buses available under a new framework agreement, with the first deliveries expected in early 2027.  
- Additionally, a third order of 268 electric buses from BYD Europe will be delivered starting in the second quarter of 2027, completing a previous agreement for 500 e-buses.  
- This initiative supports De Lijn's goal of achieving a zero-emission public transport system by 2035, backed by a 400-million-euro investment from the Flemish government.
