Guangdong: 1,500 key construction projects are planned for 2025, with an annual investment plan of 1 trillion yuan
The 3rd session of the 14th Guangdong Provincial People's Congress opened in Guangzhou on January 15, with Guangdong Provincial Governor Wang Weizhong delivering the government work report. According to the government work report, Guangdong plans to arrange 1,500 key provincial construction projects and an annual investment of 1 trillion yuan by 2025. Projects such as the Guangzhou-Zhanjiang High-Speed Railway, Guangzhou-Foshan East Ring Intercity, Guangzhou Baiyun Airport Phase III, and Shenzhen Airport's three-runway project will be completed, and construction will commence on the new Guangzhou Airport and expressway access routes from Pingyuan to Wuping, Zhanjiang to Nanning, and Huazhou to Beiliu. The construction of the Guangdong Water Resource Allocation Project around the Beibu Gulf will be accelerated, with new projects including the Qingyuan Huangmaoxia Reservoir, the expansion of the Meizhou Changtan Reservoir, the Leizhou Peninsula Irrigation Area, and the Shenshan Cooperation Zone Water Diversion Project. Efforts will be made to promote the full production capacity of Exxon Mobil's Phase I in Huizhou and the preliminary work for Phase II, accelerate the construction of CNOOC Shell's Phase III, and promote the completion and production of the Zhanjiang BASF integrated base
