Shanghai Port's annual throughput exceeds 3.63 million vehicles, ranking first in the world for the first time
The latest data shows that in 2024, the automobile throughput at Shanghai Port will reach 3.63 million vehicles, with an annual increase of 15%, surpassing the Port of Antwerp-Bruges in Belgium for the first time, becoming the world's number one port in automobile throughput. According to the "14th Five-Year Plan" goals for Shanghai Port, there will be an overall deployment of over 5 million vehicles in throughput capacity at Waigaoqiao, Lingang, and Haitong Taicang. Currently, the automobile roll-on/roll-off terminal at Shanghai Port has opened 15 international routes, covering 120 countries worldwide and serving 55 shipping companies
