Huayuan Securities: Maintains "Buy" rating on SCTE, controlling shareholder increases holdings showing confidence
Huayuan Securities research report points out that SCTE's net profit attributable to shareholders in 2024 is expected to be 4.508 billion yuan, a year-on-year increase of 2.45%. The company's net profit attributable to shareholders in the single fourth quarter is expected to be 86 million yuan, a year-on-year decline of 84.64%, which is below market expectations. The company announced a net profit attributable to shareholders of 1.479 billion yuan for the first quarter of 2025, a year-on-year increase of 16.16%, which is basically in line with market expectations. In addition, the company announced a profit distribution plan for 2024, proposing a dividend of 0.40 yuan per share, with cash dividends accounting for 43.26% of the net profit attributable to shareholders. Furthermore, the company announced a plan for the controlling shareholder to increase its holdings, with the controlling shareholder Sichuan Energy Development Group intending to increase its stake in the company by 500 million to 1 billion yuan within 12 months, without setting a price range for the increase. Considering the uncertainty of rainfall during this year's flood season, conservatively assuming that this year's water inflow is similar to last year, the rating is maintained at "Buy."
