H&M's first store in mainland China is set to reopen? Investing 128 million yuan to lease nearly 6,000 square meters of retail space in a prime location in Shanghai
In June 2022, the globally renowned chain clothing retailer H&M quietly closed its store located at 651 Huaihai Middle Road in Shanghai. This store was H&M's first outlet in the mainland Chinese market and had been in operation for 15 years. Journalists noted that after a gap of two and a half years, this store seems to be reopening. Recently, the A-share listed company YIMIN GROUP disclosed that Haines Morris will lease the Jialidu Commercial Building located at 645-659 Huaihai Middle Road in Shanghai, with a lease term of 5 years and an annual rent of 25.5 million yuan. Haines Morris is the operator of the H&M brand in China, and the Jialidu Commercial Building is the original address of the brand's first store in mainland China. (Securities Times)
