Chongqing Rural Commercial Bank Co ( (HK:3618) ) just unveiled an announcement.

Chongqing Rural Commercial Bank announced that executive director and president Sui Jun has resigned from his roles, including chief compliance officer, authorised representative and chair of the risk management and consumer rights protection committees, due to a job transfer, effective 22 July 2026. The board stressed there is no disagreement with Sui, praised his role in promoting digital and industrial-chain initiatives, and appointed chairman and executive director Liu Xiaojun to assume presidential duties on an interim basis until a new president is approved by regulators.

The bank acknowledged that combining the roles of chairman and president temporarily deviates from Hong Kong’s corporate governance code but argued that clearly defined responsibilities and board–management boundaries will preserve checks and balances. To maintain effective oversight, Chongqing Rural Commercial Bank also reshuffled its board committee memberships, naming Liu as chair of both the Risk Management Committee and Consumer Rights Protection Committee, while leaving other board committees unchanged to ensure continuity in governance.
