Guotai Haitong Securities announced that executive director and president Li Junjie has resigned from all positions due to work adjustment, with his departure effective upon delivery of his resignation letter and no reported disagreements with the board. The board emphasized that his exit does not reduce director numbers below legal minimums or disrupt operations, praised his role in advancing the firm’s strategy and performance, and confirmed his voluntary lock-up undertaking on A shares remains in force.

The board has appointed chairman Zhu Jian to perform the duties of president from 5 July 2026 until a new president is named, temporarily combining the roles in deviation from Hong Kong’s corporate governance code. Directors argued that Zhu’s familiarity with the business and existing board oversight preserve checks and balances, and pledged to complete the presidential selection as soon as practicable to restore full compliance and reassure shareholders about governance continuity.
