ST VITI: Plans to acquire 51% equity in Alpha Silicon, director Yu Qiong voted against it
36Kr learned that *ST VITI announced that the company plans to use its own funds of 41.65418 million yuan to purchase 51% equity of Alpha Silicon New Energy Common Technology Research Institute Co., Ltd. held by Chery New Energy and Shanghai Luoton. Upon completion of the transaction, Alpha Silicon will become a controlling subsidiary of the company. Currently, Alpha Silicon's products are mainly sold to Chery New Energy, providing central control display screens and instrument display screen products for Chery New Energy's iCAR brand models, as well as controller products for Chery New Energy's Little Ant and Ice Cream models. Through this transaction, the company will be able to leverage Alpha Silicon's accumulation of technical development and market resources to expand cooperation opportunities with Chery Automobile, while also increasing its market share in the passenger car sector. The company also announced that director Yu Qiong voted against this proposal, citing that the acquisition price of the target was determined based on the income method valuation, which is overvalued, and there are no performance commitments or compensation measures, which may pose operational risks to the company
