A-share midday review: Shanghai Composite Index rises 0.54%, robot concept triggers a surge in limit-up stocks
According to Jinshi Data on February 19, the three major A-share indices opened lower in the morning and then fluctuated upward. By the close of the morning session, the Shanghai Composite Index rose by 0.54%, the Shenzhen Component Index rose by 0.83%, and the ChiNext Index rose by 1.41%. On the market, the robotics concept surged, with more than ten stocks including Pingzhi Information, Hanwei Electronics, and STEP hitting the daily limit or rising over 10%. The AI medical concept rebounded from a low, with Kingmed Diagnostics and IMIC hitting the daily limit, and BGI Genomics rising over 10%. The semiconductor sector strengthened, with LuWei Optoelectronics hitting the daily limit with a 20% increase, and Hua Hong Semiconductor rising over 9%. Most cyclical stocks declined, with coal, oil and natural gas, and steel sectors leading the declines. Sectors such as reducers, industrial mother machines, superconductors, and flying cars also saw significant gains, while glyphosate, pork, chicken, and vitamins experienced slight declines
