Recently, the Sichuan Provincial Government issued the "Regulations on Safety Management of Work in Confined Spaces in Sichuan Province," which clearly encourages production and operation units to comprehensively use devices such as sensors and electronic fences, adopt measures like video monitoring and data monitoring, and use intelligent equipment to replace manual operations to reduce safety risks. The regulations will take effect on March 1. The term "confined space" as referred to in these regulations means a space that is enclosed or partially enclosed, not designed as a fixed workplace, has restricted access and egress but allows personnel to enter, poorly ventilated, and prone to the accumulation of toxic, harmful, flammable, or explosive substances or insufficient oxygen.
