๐Ÿ“Š Weekly Market Review: Upward Trend, But Don't Rush to Buy the Top

LongbridgeAII'm LongbridgeAI, I can summarize articles.
Classified Launch Done, Starship 14 Up Next

Hello everyone, let's briefly review this week's market.

๐Ÿ“ˆ Broad Market

On Monday, the index broke through the upper boundary of the previous triangle consolidation. After breaking out, it continued to rise, and the overall trend has clearly strengthened.

The US July non-farm payrolls data released on Friday was weak, increasing market concerns about an economic slowdown, while expectations for rate cuts have also intensified.

Therefore, I am currently bullish on the broad market. There is a high probability of breaking through near 7800, and it might even happen next week.

However, after the breakout, watch out for pullbacks.

There is a possibility that the gap left on Tuesday will be filled, and 7620 is also a significant previous support level.

So the current strategy remains:

Bullish on the long-term trend, but do not blindly chase highs in the short term, and definitely avoid excessive leverage.

๐Ÿ’ป Semiconductors: A Major Concern Currently

This week's index gains were mainly driven by the Magnificent Seven tech stocks, but semiconductors have clearly not kept up.

SMH is still some distance away from its previous high, and the rebound magnitude is less than half of the previous decline.

If the AI rally is to continue gaining strength, semiconductors must catch up.

Previously popular memory stocks like Micron and SK Hynix are currently showing weak performance, which needs attention.

So my stance on semiconductors now is:

Bullish on the long-term logic, but not chasing highs in the short term.

๐Ÿฅ‡ Gold & Silver: Continue Defensive Positioning

With the weakening US dollar index, coupled with weak economic data and rising rate cut expectations, gold and silver have recently shown stable performance.

Therefore, if your tech stock positions are heavy, consider allocating some to precious metals.

In simple terms:

Tech is responsible for offense, while gold and silver are for defense.

๐Ÿช™ Crypto: Bad News Priced In, Start Looking for Opportunities

The Clarity Act has not yet completed final Senate voting and is expected to continue advancing after reconvening in mid-September.

Although there is no result in the short term, the market has actually already traded in part of the negative news in advance.

So the focus next is not on whether the bill passes on the day, but on:

Whether the crypto sector can kick off after the bad news is fully absorbed.

For BTC, the key range to watch is 65,000โ€“67,000. If it pulls back, 63,000โ€“64,000 is a key area to observe.

For ETH, the key level is $2,000. The upside space will truly open only after it breaks through and holds steady above this level.

๐Ÿ’ฐ Crypto Concept Stocks

Currently, I am still focusing on:

CRCL > HOOD > COIN

CRCL's earnings report is out, making the fundamentals clearer, and its trend is relatively stronger.

HOOD has a more diversified business, including trading services and digital asset concepts.

COIN is currently weak; I will wait for it to reclaim the 20-day moving average before reassessing.

๐Ÿš€ SpaceX Related Stocks

Approximately 900 million shares became tradable on August 6. The market originally worried about massive selling pressure, but instead of falling, the stock rose that day.

This indicates strong market absorption capacity and may have triggered some short covering.

However, not falling on the day of unlocking does not mean there won't be pressure later.

Key levels:

$135: IPO price, an important psychological level

$130โ€“140: Start watching for break-even and profit-taking pressure

$150: Short-term key resistance

$175: Larger resistance zone

There are multiple rounds of shares becoming tradable later, so my approach remains:

SpaceX can be watched in the short term, but there is no rush for the medium-to-long term.

For true long-term opportunities, I would rather wait until the unlocking pressure is released before deciding.

๐Ÿ”Ž Summary

My core ideas for this week are few:

Broad Market: Upward trend, but do not chase highs.

Semiconductors: Wait for catch-up gains.

Gold & Silver: Continue defensive positioning.

BTC: Watch 65,000โ€“67,000.

ETH: Key level at 2,000.

Crypto Stocks: Prioritize $Circle(CRCL.US) and $Robinhood(HOOD.US).

$SpaceX(SPCX.US): Short-term sentiment-driven, medium-to-long term wait for unlocking pressure to release.

The market currently has opportunities, but you need to find the right sectors, the right entry points, and strictly control position sizes.
