Who is behind it
Roi Tiger co-founded Onavo in Tel Aviv in the early 2010s alongside Guy Rosen, building a mobile application that helped users monitor and compress data usage. Meta acquired Onavo in 2013 for a reported $120 million to $200 million. Tiger stayed on for nine years, eventually rising to vice president of engineering.

What happened to Onavo after the acquisition is the part of Tiger's history that follows Glow into its public launch. According to court documents unsealed in 2024, Meta directed staff in 2016 to find a way to monitor Snapchat's encrypted traffic after it blocked Meta's standard analytics methods. The solution was to repurpose Onavo's VPN software to intercept and decrypt competitors' app traffic — a programme internally known as Project Ghostbusters that was later extended to target YouTube and Amazon. Apple removed Onavo from the App Store in 2018 over the practice. Meta shut the service down entirely in 2019. The unsealed court filings described the programme's conduct as not merely anticompetitive but criminal.
Tiger has not spoken publicly about his role in Project Ghostbusters. Glow's launch announcement makes no reference to it.
Glow's other co-founders are Omer Singer, who led cybersecurity strategy at Snowflake, and Ophir Arie, who ran research and development at industrial security firm Claroty. The executive team includes chief product officer Arnon Joseph, who spent eight years as a senior product director at Meta, and chief operating officer Emily Heath, who served as chief information security officer at United Airlines and DocuSign and sat on Wiz's board through its $32 billion acquisition by Google.
The funding and who backed it
The $180 million Series A was led by Sequoia Capital, Cyberstarts, Greenoaks and Redpoint Ventures, with participation from Index Ventures, Swish Ventures, Lux Capital, Operator Collective and Holly Ventures. The round values Glow at $1.2 billion — placing it among a growing number of cybersecurity startups, Wiz being the most prominent recent example, that have crossed the billion-dollar valuation threshold before putting revenue figures on the table.
Glow had already raised approximately $80 million at a valuation near $400 million before this round. Several of its backers, including Greenoaks and Cyberstarts, had previously invested in Wiz from its early stages through to its eventual $1 billion Series E and $32 billion sale to Google.
"Partnering with Roi, Omer, and Ophir was one of the easiest decisions we've made," said Shaun Maguire, Partner at Sequoia Capital. "This is a team that has built and operated at a massive scale, going after a problem that will define the industry."
What Glow actually does
Glow's product centres on a prevention-first model for endpoint security — a deliberate departure from the detect-and-respond approach that dominates the market through established players such as CrowdStrike, Microsoft and SentinelOne.
The company's AI agents map what is running on a device, assess risk in real time and block unapproved or malicious software before it installs — rather than identifying it after execution and initiating a remediation process. Tiger describes this as the reversal of the surveillance-and-report model that defined his earlier work at Onavo.
The platform runs on Anthropic and Google Gemini models via Amazon Bedrock, layered with Glow's own context engine. In practice, the system has already stopped malicious npm packages — the small, reusable code components that developers pull into software projects and that attackers increasingly use as a delivery vehicle for malware — from installing in customer environments. It has also flagged devices where endpoint detection tools were missing or had degraded functionality.
One of the core metrics driving Glow's pitch is the pace of unauthorised AI adoption on corporate devices, which the company says has climbed from 15 percent to 45 percent of enterprise environments within a single year. That figure frames the urgency of the problem the company is positioning itself to solve.
"Prevention was always the right answer in security. It just never worked at enterprise scale without blocking the business. AI solves that. The moment we saw what AI made possible, we knew the endpoint could finally be protected the way it always should have been," Tiger said.
The market it is entering
The endpoint security market is large but not expanding rapidly. Mordor Intelligence projects growth from $23.34 billion in 2026 to $39.41 billion by 2031 — an annual growth rate of approximately 11 percent, driven primarily by cloud deployment and AI-based behavioural analytics. That is the segment Glow is targeting directly.
Its primary competitors — CrowdStrike, Microsoft and SentinelOne — are oriented toward rapid detection and response rather than pre-emptive blocking. SentinelOne is currently pursuing offline autonomous remediation as a differentiation strategy against CrowdStrike's market lead, which is a different approach from Glow's prevention-first architecture. Whether enterprises will extend sufficient trust to AI agents to allow them to make automatic prevention decisions — rather than routing those decisions through human analysts — is the central adoption question that Glow's near-term trajectory will test.
Glow has signed enterprise customers in healthcare, retail and financial services, though it has not disclosed names, customer counts or revenue figures.
